EspHome installation issues

great piece of hardware but struggling to get the installation instructions to work. Am getting the following error when trying to get the yaml uploaded. the code compiles as the logs show but then on upload I get the following error:
[E][component: 085]:Component powerfeather_mainboard is marked FAILED:

worked fine with Aurduino and read the battery levels, but I want to easily manage this with HA so Esphome makes a lot more sense.
If anyone can help I will share yaml and log files, just testing the water here first.

works in esphome in every other respect other than your yaml when used and I get a 'FAILED' response when installing

Hi @dolomitejunkie, to clarify you are trying to use the YAML with https://www.adafruit.com/product/5885 and not ESP32-S3 PowerFeather? Because those are different hardware - the PowerFeather has chips on board that the Adafruit one doesn't have.

ah, that could explain the issue then. I may have purchased the incorrect board in error. Not the end of the world and thank you for guiding me. I will re-order and let you know how it goes.
