So, recently i came across this PowerFeather project and was surprised to see the advanced battery monitoring capabilities. I wanted to recreate something similar to this with a round display, but low-cost components. My first target was to buy BQ25628e chip, and it was not available in my country. So, i started searching for the similar component and found BQ25601 (There are 2 versions, other has a marking "D" which indicates USB detection). It was super cheap to implement and both of them are almost arguably same, not considering the charging current and TS bias pin. The BQ25628e datasheet provides i2c register map in a simple way but BQ25601 doesn't. I have a hard time understanding the table provided by TI and is it a direct alternative to BQ25628e (without considering the footprints and pin changes)?
